Kyari (Plantation of new Ideas)

Kyari is a platform for the people to come together and participate in the development of the place where they were born or brought up. Kyari mainly targets people who were born or brought up in the District of Karauli ( www.karauli.nic.in ), ( state of Rajasthan, India ) but moved out to pursue studies, careers, etc. Kyari wants to bring them back to their roots and utilize their diverse skills and experience in building the place.

  1. Objectives: Main objectives are to work in the area of plantation and education.
    1. Plantation: As civilized societies are expanding to build residential/commercial developments to accommodate more people, the trees/jungles are being cut and farm-lands are shrinking. Kyari plans to create awareness by planting trees in residential areas and to motivate students to take up the task of planting trees. It is not a secret any more that trees happened before any civilization on earth and they recharge environment, attract rains, conserve fertile soil, provide food and contribute in many more ways to our life.
    2. Education: Good education can only be the foundation of good future. Good education provided to students today can make them good citizens of tomorrow and work with Kyari. Education should also include ethics, environment sensitiveness, social service inclination in addition to conventional knowledge on science, language, history etc.
  2. Activities: On the lines of Kyari's objectives, Kyari is working to mobilize people to work on education and plantation in Hindaun City (population 85,000) and village Surauth (population 10,000) in District of Karauli, Rajasthan, India. More cities/villages will be added as and when members from those areas of Karauli join Kyari.
  3. Methodology: The methodology to create awareness and mobilize people is manifold, including the following:
    1. Most of the Kyari members are either studying to become a professional or are working as professional managers. They are capable to plan, manage and execute projects independently. Hence, each Kyari member is a power-house who can find tasks, analyze and communicate effectively with others to accomplish it successfully.
    2. Communication is the key. Whenever any Kyari members visit his/her hometown in Karauli, (s)he should make contacts with students/teachers in schools/colleges and local Kyari contacts. Being patient, need to listen to others, monitor progress and make changes accordingly are the keys.
    3. Make few key persons in Hindaun and Surauth who will spread the word of Kyari and make communication with other Kyari members who don't physically live in Karauli.
    4. Kyari believes in doing things and setting examples so that local people can understand and contribute.
    5. Kyari is open to interact with any organization to help them and exchange ideas. Kyari would help in setting up similar models in other districts so that we can associate more people with their roots.
  4. Other Issues: Kyari understands that there are many things which need a change in the current Indian society. Some of them are hygiene, corruption, political apathy, cleanliness, etc. Kyari thinks that if it can create able citizens out of today's students/youth then those able citizens will make a stronger force to work in bringing the change.
